How to make it

  • Grease 12 three-inch muffin pan cups.
  • Cream together the butter, the shortening and the sugar. Beat in the eggs, salt, nutmeg and baking powder. Stir in the flour and milk alternately until mixture is just combined.
  • Fill muffin cups to the top.
  • Bake at 350F oven for about twenty minutes.
  • Allow to cool for a few minutes.
  • With each muffin, dip in the melted butter.
  • Roll each muffin in the cinnamon sugar blend

    Yum! These were delicious! I just dipped the tops in the butter and cinnamon sugar mix. These took about 30 minutes for me as well. They had a wonderful texture! The batter itself before baking reminded me of the consistency of marshmallow cream! Definitely in the morning routines now! Thanks!

    Warm, buttery, cinnamon-y...how this not jump-start your morning? I also agree, LOTS of cinnamon is a good thing - I especially like the Saigon cinnamon...good stuff! Thanks...Krum
