How to make it

  • Heat Sugar and Corn Syrup until sugar is completely dissolved.
  • Add liqueur of choice.
  • Allow to simmer for at least 3 minutes.
  • For a thinner syrup add more liqueur.
  • For a thicker syrup add more sugar or cook longer.
  • When desired results are reached, cool liquid in pan over an ice bath. Syrup will thicken as it cools.

O...M...G...So Good!!! I think I would of kept this recipe a secret, bottled it and sold it!!! I made mine using cream sherry. I served it over strawberry waffles. I simmered it til it was nice and thick. I love the beautiful amber color of the sherry! I can't wait to try this with different kinds of liqueur! 10 Forks!!! I hope you like my photo!

mmmmm...Grand Mariner, Razzmatazz, coconut...the ideas are endless! :) I'm adding your recipes to the group, hon, so everyone there will see them....if you look over to the right------> you'll see where you can add it on your own, so make sure to do that with any new ones so all your fellow Refugees see what you post, easier! :)

By the way, I recently made this with amaretto and used it for a Strawberry Shortcake Trifle. It really made the dish pop! I drizzled this over the pound cake before I added the strawberries and cream. Everyone agreed that it was a great addition.
