Ingredients

1 inch thick round steak (about 3 lb)

1 Cup all purpose flour

2 tsp onion salt

2 tsp paprika

1 tsp black pepper

1 Cup Sourdough starter (use one of the 1000s that are posted or see my earlier posting)

3/4 Cup lard or shortening

Directions

Using a meat tenderizing mallet or knife (or my favorite a 5 lb dumb bell)

Pound the steak to 1/2 inch thick

Cut into serving pieces

Combine flour and seasonings

Dip in Sourdough starter, then in flour mixture

Fry in 1-inch of hot fat in a heavy skillet
