How to make it

  • Drain canned spinach well, reserving 1/2 cup liquid. Set aside
  • Combine butter, onion, and flour in a pan
  • Stir well and cook for about one minute
  • Gradually add reserved spinach liquid and evaporated milk, cook until slighlty thickened, stirring constantly.
  • Remove from heat
  • Add cheese and seasonings to sauce, stirring until cheese is melted.
  • Add drained spinach and optional mushrooms, mixing well
  • Dip may be frozen. Thaw and heat before serving.

  • Serve in small crock pot on low temperature. Stir occasionally
