Habanapple Hot Pepper Sauce
From mojomike 15 years agoIngredients
- 6 oz habanero peppers, stems removed shopping list
- 1 pineapple, skinned and core removed, chunked shopping list
- 3 oz. japones chilis, or other hot dried chilis, stemmed removed and re-hydrated for 1 hour shopping list
- 2 Tablespoons molasses shopping list
- 4 oz. salt, liquid measure shopping list
- 2 Tablespoons thyme shopping list
- 1 Tablespoon Cracked allspice shopping list
- 1/3 cup Packed brown sugar shopping list
- 2 cups vinegar shopping list
How to make it
- Grind up the peppers with the pineapple and mix in everything else. Let sit in a clean jar with an air lock for a month or longer shaking every couple to 4 days. This recipe varies depending on what I can get fresh but basically this is it. It is fairly hot and you can adjust the thickness by adding more vinegar. Laso I have replaced the Pineapple with Mango (Habamango?)

This is my kind of recipe. I will definitely be trying it. I have a lot of Fresh Frozen Habbys.. think it would work with those?? Thanks for sharing... Jim
