Ingredients
  • 1- 10 inch angel food cake or make your own...........
  • 1- tablespoon unflavored gelatin
  • 1/4- cup cold water
  • 2- tablespoon bourbon
  • 8- egg yolks
  • 1- cup powdered sugar
  • 1- pint heavy cream , whipped
  • 1/2- 3/4 pound of peanu or pecan brittle ......crushed

Directions
  1. Slice the angel food cake you bought or make your own.......into 3 layers...............
  2. soften the gelatin in cold water, and dissolve over hot water.............
  3. add bourbon...............
  4. beat egg yolks until thick............
  5. beat in sugar...............
  6. add gelatin mixture, fold in whipped cream................
  7. chill until mixture begins to stiften....
  8. spread between cake layers, sprinkling each layer with the peanut or pecan brittle..................
  9. cover entire cake when done with the cream mixture and sprinkle with the brittle......on top...........
  10. chill for several hours.............
  11. yield 1 -10 inch cake
