Ingredients
  • 2 cups Kimchi
  • 1 can Tuna drained
  • 1 green onion
  • 1 Tablespoon chopped garlic
  • 1 Tablespoon sesame oil
  • 1 Tablespoon fish sauce, optional but recommended
  • 1 1/2 cups water
  • Seasoning:
  • 3 Tablespoons ground red pepper
  • 1 teaspoon chopped garlic
  • 1/2 teaspoon chopped ginger

Directions
  1. If necessary, cut kimchi into desirable size (about 2-inch lengths)
  2. Cut green onion into 2 to 3-inch length pieces
  3. Open tuna and drain oil (or water) well
  4. Mix seasoning ingredients; (red pepper, garlic, and ginger)
  5. In a pot, stir kimchi, seasoning, chopped garlic, sesame oil, and tuna over high heat for about 5 minutes.
  6. Pour 1 1/2 cups water over it and bring to a boil
  7. When it starts to boil, add fish sauce
  8. Boil gently over medium heat for 20 minutes
  9. Add green onion just before turning off the heat

This sounds great... I don't like tuna so I will substitute canned salmon... but i really like kimchi... five forks

This was fantastic! I actually skipped the tuna and put in some cooked shrimp when the broth was ready. It was so delicious. Kind of like a korean version of Tom Yum Goong. :) Thanks for the great recipe.
