Used boiling oil in a stock pot. Recipe is a little on the salty side. I can't compare it at all to KFC but it's fried chicken. Took a minimum of 6 minutes to cook. Used skinless boneless thighs and breasts cut into fingers.

I agree with paininthe ass. Pressure cookers are not intended for pressure fryers, and everyone should pull out their manuals and read them.

It will state clearly that frying should not be done and that oil should not be used a cooking liquid. Frying in a pressure cooker can result in a very hazardous situation, such as exploding hot oil, that results from damage to the seal and other pressure regulating parts that are not designed for hot oil.

KFC does not use a pressure cooker, they use a commercial grade pressure fryer which is equipped with the appropriate seals, gaskets, and pressure setting to accommodate frying.

Do yourself a favor and just go buy a bucket of chicken from KFC.

Google frying in pressure cooker for additional information.

This isn't a recipe for a pressure cooker, this is for a "PRESSURE FRYER". This recipe is very dangerous in a pressure cooker. Oil does not create steam, it just continues to get hotter and will eventually burn. This is a very careless thing to tell people to do with a pressure cooker. Anyone who has a PC should look at the manual.
