Ingredients

How to make it

  • Preheat oven to 350 degrees.
  • In a large bowl beat the eggs with the two creams until well blended
  • Add remaining ingredients with the exception of the three cheeses and the TOPPING ingredients. Set the mixture aside.
  • In a large pot of boiling salted water cook the macaroni just up to the "Not quite done stage" Approx. 8-10 min.
  • Rinse with cold water, drain well.
  • Place 1/2 of the macaroni into a buttered 2 quart casserole dish.
  • Sprinkle evenly with 1/2 of the blended three cheese's
  • Top next with Remaining 1/2 macaroni.
  • Sprinkle evenly with the remaining 1/2 three cheese blend.
  • Pour the cream & egg mixture slowly over all.
  • Do not stir, try to keep the layers stable as best you can.
  • -------
  • Combine the TOPPING ingredients together and spread evenly over the Mac n' cheese casserole.
  • Bake until nicely brown and bubbly. Approx 45-50 minutes.
  • Remove from oven and allow to cool about 2-5 minutes before serving.

    Yeppers, I think the evaporated milk is the secret. It makes the sauce much richer, good job. can't wait to make.
