How to make it

  • 1- Mix ground beef with spices thoroughly.
  • 2- Fashion into patties that are 1/4 thick; 5 inches in diameter as they will shrink and get; thicker after grilling.
  • 3- Place patties on the grill directly over *medium* coals and grill until juices run "clear”
  • This will be medium to medium-well

This made a really good burger! I had one pound of ground beef so I cut the recipe in half, which was really easy. Grilled this on my charcoal grill, about three minutes each side. The burger still was juicy but not as juicy as usual which made me think that the bread crumbs absorbed the juice and its flavors. I turned mine into a bacon/Swiss burger and also added a slice of Vidalio onion. I'm pretty full. :)

Interesting twist with the bread crumbs. Have not tried that addition but I will. Hamburgery is an aquired skill. At first glance I probably would think they might be dry but notyourmomma is a trusted Royal Taster. If it doesn't cause gastric discomfort I'll eat it. LOL.

Yeppers this is a good one. It isn't bready at all, the crumbs keep the flavor of the fat intact, eh?
