How to make it

  • I add two shakes of Worcestershire to Krum's recipe.
  • Sprinkle parmesan cheese on top, and launch a few croutons.
  • I've had French Onion Soup in some very fancy restaurants. They don't compare to this. They're usually so salty that I wonder if I can forgo being embalmed.

    You are so sweet to re-post this recipe as a soup...I agree with you - it is FAB-ulous as a soup, especially topped with some parm and garlkic-y croutons! I'm so glad you enjoyed it as much as we do...I don't get on to GR much anymore, but I sure miss :"the old gang - and the old days"!!
