How to make it

  • Combine yogurt, garlic, and salt and mix well. Set aside.
  • Potato Filling:
  • Finely chop onion and saute over medium low heat, allowing to cook until translucent while preparing the rest of the filling.
  • Wash potato and place in a medium pan of boiling water. Boil until soft.
  • Remove from water and run under cold water, peeling the skin as you do so.
  • Mash potato with fork then add salt, pepper, paprika and parsley. Set filling aside.
  • Manti Sheets(pasta)
  • Combine flour, water and salt in large bowl and mix until dough forms.
  • Knead to form a solid dough, then set aside for 15 minutes. Cut dough to pieces about the size of your hand and roll dough into thick sheets.
  • Cut into 1 1/2 inch squares.
  • Place a small amount of filling onto each square and fold so points meet, to make a triangle.
  • Press seams closed.
  • Set aside on baking sheet sprinkled with flour.
  • Boil water in large pot, and add prepared manti, a few at a time, until cooked just pasta al dente.(about 10 minutes).Melt remaining butter in small sauce pan, and add paprika.
  • To serve, plate manti, adding a liberal amount of yogurt topping, and garnish with paprika butter.
  • ıf u wanna make the filling with ground beef here ..

  • 1 pound ground beef or veal
  • 1/3 cup chopped fresh Italian parsley
  • salt
  • freshly ground pepper
  • Prepare the filling by mixing together in a bowl the grated onion, meat, parsley, salt, and pepper to taste. Set aside.

    For anyone viewing Kuta's recipes, there are some of us here to help her with translations for some of the more complicated recipes, but please, please be patient with her and remember the language barrier. :) She has a lot of great things to share, so I'm sure they'll be worth the time to ask questions if you have trouble understanding. Thank you!! (yes, I'm going to try and put this on all her submissions, as I see them, to try and thwart any unkindness or cruelty that could be shown for any difficulties she has with English...she sure is trying! :)
