How to make it

  • -If you're using fresh green beans clean and trim them to 1 to 1 1/2 inch pieces.
  • -Heat the olive oil in a pan and cook the chopped onions and garlic until lightly brown.
  • -If you want tu use tomato paste add it at this point and stir for a min ,. Later add to potatoes
  • Bake until potatoes turn it soft.add to corn starch baked 1 min.
  • -Add the beans and stir them until they slightly change color (app. 6-8 mins).
  • -Add the tomatoes and cook for 5 mins and then add sugar (cumin and pepper), water, and salt. -Cover the pan and cook with low heat until the beans are soft (20 mins with frozen beans - 40 mins with fresh ones).
  • traditionally served cold with yogurt ,,but it's good when it's warm too.

    For anyone viewing Kuta's recipes, there are some of us here to help her with translations for some of the more complicated recipes, but please, please be patient with her and remember the language barrier. :) She has a lot of great things to share, so I'm sure they'll be worth the time to ask questions if you have trouble understanding. Thank you!! (yes, I'm going to try and put this on all her submissions, as I see them, to try and thwart any unkindness or cruelty that could be shown for any difficulties she has with English...she sure is trying! :)
