Turksh Pumpkin Pastry

- 1 ¼ cup peeled pumpkin, cut into thick, chunky slices shopping list
- ½ sugar shopping list
- chopped walnuts and coconuts shopping list
How to make it
- Rinse the pumpkin pieces in cold water a
- place in a saucepan, layered with the sugar.
- cover the pan and switch the heat on.
- Simmer the pumpkin in the resulted sugar syrup on low heat, until it is thoroughly tender, but not mushy.
- Arrange the pumpkin pieces on the serving dish and pour the remaining syrup over.
- Let the dish cool in room temperature. Sprinkle the pumpkin with chopped walnuts and coconuts serve immediately
- my mom serves with clotted cream some times..
