How to make it

  • Blend cream cheese and margarine together; add sugar beating slowly.
  • Add eggs one at a time, beating after each addition.
  • Add flour, small amount at a time.
  • Add vanilla; beat well.
  • Pour into well greased and floured tube pan.
  • Bake at 300 degrees for 1 1/2 hours.

    I made this cake today. The only thing I change was, I use splender sugar and use my bundt cake pan instead of the loaf pan. I love the crust it has and the cake is moist.It will be so good with any fruit topping or with frosting to decorate. I wish I took pictures of making the cake but I just thought of my Dig. camera ( it's new) after the cake was done, so I took those pictures.I will be back to put the pic on, my PC VIRUS scan is running and it making my PC, run slow.

    This is the pound cake that my grandmother used to make. It is rumored that she won a ribbon for this cake in the Ohio state fair. It is so good and brings back memories. Thanks for adding it to the collection.

    Mmmm, I love pound cake! The only change I'd make to this recipe is substitute butter for the margarine...might's well make it really decadent!
