Peaches and Cream Dessert

A different spin for this cakey dessert baked in a pie dish
Ingredients
- 3/4 cup all purpose flour shopping list
- 1 tsp baking powder shopping list
- 1/2 tsp salt shopping list
- 1 (3 1/2 ounce) package vanilla pudding (not instant) shopping list
- 1/2 cup sugar + 1 tbs shopping list
- 1/2 tsp cinnamon shopping list
- 3 tbs butter or margarine, softened shopping list
- 1 egg shopping list
- 1/2 cup milk shopping list
- 1 (15 ounce) can sliced peaches, drained with 3 tbs juice reserved shopping list
- 1 (8 ounce) package cream cheese, softened shopping list
How to make it
- Combine flour, baking powder, salt, pudding mix, butter, egg and milk; beat with electric mixer for 2 minutes.
- Pour into greased 9" deep dish or regular pie pan.
- Place peach slices over the batter.
- Combine cream cheese, 1/2 cup of sugar and 3 tbs of reserved peach juice; beat with electric mixer for 2 minutes.
- Spread evenly over the top of peaches,leaving 1" around the edge. Combine 1 tbs of sugar with 1/2 tsp cinnamon and sprinkle over the top.
- Bake at 350 degrees for 30-35 minutes.
- Cool:
- Serve room temp or cold
