Has this site gone south?????

Is it just me or has everyone been slowly leaving this site since the new format came out? I've been here many years now and it looks like there are fewer and fewer recipes posted every day. Lately this is the fewest daily recipes that I have ever seen. Where is everyone going?

Do you mean the featured recipes? If so, Kristopher only features recipes when the poster of the recipe has personally taken the photo attached to the recipe. It looks (to me) as if a bunch of recipes posted today have "borrowed" photos with them.
I've been here over four years and know of a few people who have left but their reasons are due to happenings in their life - not with the site. I don't post many recipes because I love sharing what I make here in the IMI group. I have a pile of recipes to make and post, but I always get sidetracked by my bookmarked recipes here.
I don't know if I answered your questions or not. Maybe some other members have some input as well.

I don't know if the new format has changed things or not. There are a lot of new features that I like but sure do miss some deleted ones too. I have lost contact with many groups because we can no longer add (or suggest to add) recipes to a group.

I personally think the site is much better now. I don't post as often, either, for the same reason as Frankie...so many recipes bookmarked that I am trying!)
I think the idea is that they only feature recipes with original photos, but, it doesn't work that way. Many of them are borrowed. I have even seen them scanned in from Rachel Ray and FN magazines! (As long as the person saves it to their computer under another name they can get away with it...you'd think more businesses would protect their photos so that they can't be copied!).
I think sites like Facebook are taking up more members' computer time now, too!
I still love GR, and will have to make posting a priority, I do have a few I'd like to post!

I enjoy the site! I check in daily and view others recipes. It helps inspire my cooking and influnces my cooking schedule here at the house! I just wish the Email thing worked. Anyone know when it will work? I never get notifications.

Radd, I get all my email notifications. (You mean mail within the site, right?) I also get all my notifications in my regular email address when people send me messages here. The only notification that doesn't work for me is replies to email within the site; the number notification for those doesn't always work, although, I have to say it works more often than not and it used to not work at all.

I finally received my pasta rollers from cooking.com, so I will be making fresh pasta as soon as possible!!! I will certainly let you all know how that goes. :)

Radd, my email notifier never worked either until I changed my email to internet mail. Such as @yahoo, @gmail, @hotmail, etc..... Never worked with @comcast, sbc, Now I get all notifications

Radd. I have that same message on my notifications tab, however, I do get all my emails. Do you have any of the options checked? It looks like they are greyed out, but, I was able to check another one when I tested. Mine go to yahoo, but I have a gmail account too that I can test.

Everything is checked except never email me. Well it seems gmail mail spam filter picks up this site as spam. Very wierd! I always assumed it didnt work because of the messege on notifications. I use Windows live mail so i never see my spam folder. Thanks for all your help!

I'm still here. I'm just not cooking much these days, so not much to post. I do think sites such as Facebook, Tumblr, Pinterest, etc. do occupy most peoples computer time...I know I'm addicted to Pinterest myself :) But also, it's a pain when you can't post recipes with the newer version of internet explorer :(
