    Bacon, Spinach Tomato Pizza
I made this because I have a lot of tomatoes and basil in my garden and also had some leftover bacon from this morning. I was skeptical. I had never had pizza without a tomato based sauce, I was afraid the fresh tomatoes would make the whole thing soggy and wasn't sure about leaving the basil leaves whole. Boy, was I wrong! This is a fantastic pizza! I absolutely loved it. Poster doesn't mention when to put the tomatoes on but I figured it out myself. :-P
I don't think a whole 1/2 pound of bacon is necessary. I had four pieces and it was plenty. I like my mozzarella really cooked up and brown so that's why its that way. :)
I used my cast iron skillet (which is how I cook my pizzas now) so I used this pizza dough recipe because I know it works in a cast iron pan.

I highly recommend this for any pizza lover.
Edited to mention I let the garlic soak in the oil while the dough rose (about two hours).

Oh my Goodness Frankieanne....I just finished dinner but your picture makes me want to eat pizza now! Just gorgeous! I bookmarked it to try. Lucky, lucky you having tomatoes already ripe in your garden. I still just have flowers on my plants. Nice on letting the garlic soak. Great post!
