    Beef And Noodles

Used my leftover roast for this yummy recipe by Semigourmet! I did not serve it over noodles and although I have made my own noodles before for this recipe, due to time constraints, I used the frozen egg noodles last night. This is comfort food heaven - definitely save your juices left from the roast to make this with. I did not serve over potatoes either this time but regardless - wonderful and tasty!

That is a great way to use up leftover roast. I usually end up making sandwiches and getting tired of them before the roast is gone. Thanks for putting this here!

This sounds so good!! My Grandma used to make homemade noodles similar to the one's in the recipe pic. Brings back memories :)

Wow, that sounds good, Karen! I've never made homemade chicken and noodles or beef and noodles (or any other kind), but they sure sound like they'd be a good use of leftover pot roast. I have a couple of chuck roasts in the freezer to make pot roast, so will have to keep this in mind. Thanks for the recommendation!

I do like to make my own noodles sometimes, but no time for the making and the cleaning up - I somehow always make a mess (with flour everywhere) when I make them :)

Go you Karen on making your own noodles sometimes. I've always wanted to try to do that and never have. I had this recipe bookmarked already as I'm pretty sure I actually have some leftover roast beef and au jus in my freezer. Must short list!

I've tried home made noodling a couple three times. It is on the messy side.
And I don't have a stand mixer or the special parts to let the mixer squash out the noodles.
But here is another recipe to let you use up any left over pot roast: Shredded Beef Sandwich Buns

Chuckieb - Believe me, mine are just the old fashioned, roll them out with my rolling pin and cut, type noodles. They don't look pretty, but they do taste good.:)

PSO - thanks for the suggestion - they look really good, saved it and will definitely try next time.

Karen thank you for the glowing review! that made my day! I am so happy you like this dish. it is actually one of my favorites from childhood.

Pointsevenout, Nice looking shredded beef buns Cool idea. My mom used to make a Giant pot roast, would use some of it for this dish, then some she would cut up for stew. then the rest was ground up into a pate type consistency and mixed with onion, relish salt pepper and a little mayo and mustard for sandwich spread.

    Roast Beef Sandwich Spread

Just another way she would use up the leftovers.
