Egg Foo Yung Ramen Noodle Style
This was pretty good. I made this one before: Egg Foo Ramen and it has a lot more eggs in it. Looks like from my review that I liked those a bit better. Still - it was tasty. I think it just needed a tad more flavor. Ate half for breakfast. I'll see how the other half heats up later on.

Great pic! The ramen noodles in it is very unique! So is the other one you have made before. I bookmarked both to try! Thanks for bringing these to my attention:)

I had bookmarked the Egg Foo Ramen recipe. Both are just a bit weird to me as I'm used to Egg Foo Yung made with egg and bean sprouts and then a gravy over top and these have neither bean sprouts or gravy. For my egg foo yung gravy I just cheat and use a pkg. of gravy mix and Dr. it up with a little soy sauce. I am intrigued though. Your picture is nice Frankieanne.

Thank you. I usually try to use natural light but the flash brought out the crispy better.
I guess the noddles are taking the place of the bean sprouts. You probably could still use your gravy, too.

I do the same thing Marie! I always post it and then see mistakes so I go fix them :) I too was thinking I thought Egg Foo Yung had gravy. I have never made it though I do have some in my recipe box.

This tasted so much better after it sat in the refrigerator all day. I think making this up in the morning and then eating it for dinner would be great!

I want to try this. Fred hates Chinese and I never get to order in. This could be my solo supper and he can fend for himself. Yep, fix it in the a.m and have it for my supper!

I made this yesterday and it was really good! I used 2 teas each of the sesame oil & soy sauce..thanks to Frankieanne for the recommendation! I did double the recipe which was PLENTY for 2 people..with some leftover..also cut back on the butter a bit..kindof eyeballed what I thought was needed. Added my pic to the recipe..I will be making this again for sure:)

I made this too, but for lunch today!! I liked it a lot too, lots of flavor, even though I do think I went over half the packet of seasoning. I used the oriental flavor as suggested by Modmom. I went easy on the sesame oil (sensitive to the stuff) and didn't measure the soy, just added until it looked right. This would be good with a brown gravy, but I enjoyed it on it's own too :) Adding my pic.

Marie, when you doubled this did you do it all in one honkin big pan or 2 separate pans? If you did it in one pan, how on earth did you flip that thing?

One honkin big pan. Because she had a crud load of it. :-D
    hehe
You two are making me want this again.

I had me a big ol honkin pan and made a crud load!! The recipe was for 1 serving with 1 pkg of ramen, that's why I used 2! I tried to flip it like the professional chefs do..without the use of a spatula..well, it flipped half of it on to the top of the other half..so I had to use the spatula to "fix" it ..you can tell by the pic, it has a sortof a break in it! LOL I took a pic of the "better looking" half:)

BTW, I forgot to add I used oriental ramen as well:)

You guys are tooooo funny. Honkin' and crud. I honestly wouldn't have tried this recipe prior to your reviews but now you've got me curious. I'm totally going to do gravy though. Cuz' Egg Foo Yung has gravy. Michelle...you have taken the nicest picture. :) It's the green onion garnish that's pulling it off.
