    Grilled Ham And Cheese Sandwiches
I did an ingredient search using gruyere, ham and bread and this one popped up. I've made it before and it gave me a chance to use a tomato from my garden and add it to IMI.

Verra nice! Nice pic too! Love the ham ratio in there. :) The perfect lunch and lucky you to still have tomatoes in your garden. We are pulling the last of ours in this afternoon as it's supposed to go below freezing in the next couple of days! Boo.

The plant isn't much to look at but I got three tomatoes today so I'm putting off pulling it up. :)

Very nice picture..I LOVE Gruyere!!! Have you ever tried fried green tomatoes FA? I personally don't care for them..we have lots of green tomatoes on the vines..I'm hoping they get ripe!

I haven't tried fried green tomatoes, Marie. I'm scared to. :) I haven't heard of many people who care for them. At least the people I know.
I read online that tomato plants change the way they operate at this time of year. The tomatoes will ripen - it just takes longer. So, that's why I'm leaving mine in the ground so long this year. Its working, too!

That red tomato peeking out looks delicious!
Green tomatoes are much more tart, IMO...I have had fried green tomatoes once, and did not care for them...

We picked a few just turning red and they ripen fully on the window sill..we have been lucky though, with our warm afternoons here in Northern California:) Hopefully all the green tomatoes will ripen outside:) I might have to get the fried green tomatoes another chance...my family being from the south and all:) LOL

I have had that recipe of Keni's saved for a LONG time, so I will probably still make it some time, to give green tomatoes another chance :)
