Pork Burritos

    Recipe by Pleclare: Pork Burritos/saved
A nice burrito. Seasoning is not too spicy. Used Homemade Taco Seasoning which is already in the reviews profile.
Used a 5lb pork roast, bone-in. Was done crocking in 8hrs. The bone pulled right out. Not much fat to skim. I cut off the fat cap before starting. It's about 3lbs after bone removal.
Probably could use a little more salt. Maybe a sprinkling of coarse salt before folding up the burrito.
Had to use a little more water to make the spices pourable.
All the juices that came out of the roast are put back in with mixing. I like that.

This looks really good, I bookmarked it. I love making my own taco seasoning. I haven't bought one of those little packages in years!

I'm not surprised seeing that you do not hail from the south-west United States.
Tortillas are flat breads. They will take most any type of filling and can be rolled up with the ends tucked in and eaten in hand like a sandwich.
This recipe served up on buns can be a south-west flavored sloppy joe.
The burritos can be deep fried, then called a Chimichanga.
It's a little of an art to roll the burritos so the stuffing doesn't fall out.
