    Smokey Roasted Chicken
This was super good! Mine came out looking different than Lillian's version but I really piled the paste on. I loved the smokey and tiny bit of sweet from the honey. Even if you took the skin off, some of that yummy paste got on the meat. Really super good! I don't know why it took me this long to figure out I didn't need to cook a whole chicken to try this!

Those look SO GOOD! I would use chicken pieces too...seems like it would get more sauce on them!

Thanks, everyone! This was pretty good cold, too. I wasn't sure it would be, but it was! I also wanted to add that the cook time and temperature were perfect.

It's a good dish. Paired it up with butter beans and a biscuit. Used lower chicken quarters. Very flavorful. My pic isn't burned, it's just full of rub.
Temp was 195F @ 1:15 but not dry at all.

I made this last week after finally finding smoked paprika. I liked the hint of lemon and smoke. Made 7 b/s breast. Even had a smoked paprika and swiss quesadilla for lunch the day after. Great flavor. Thanks for a great recipe NYM. Added a pic

I've had this recipe bookmarked for a long time and finally got around to making it last week. I knew we would enjoy it and did we ever! I used 5 thighs and cut the paste ingredients in half. Added my pic on the recipe page.

Now I see what all the fuss is about! This rub has ton's of flavor. I used it on a whole chicken and on an extra very large chicken breast. My husband kept saying he knew the main spice, but just couldn't think of the name lol! I told him finally and he was like, "Oh yeah, I knew that." :) Made a gravy out of the pan juices, yummy stuff Tina!! Added the eighth picture :D
