    Sourdough Melt
I bookmarked this for Keni Cooking Day but just did not have the time to make it that weekend. I finally got around to it today! I made it exactly as written except I scaled it down for one and left out the Sriracha. Which you knew I would. :-) I never had a melt of any kind before. I actually think I prefer a hamburger with the cold fixings but it was definitely delicious.

Very yummy picture Frankieanne! I'd never even heard of a "Melt" until I joined GR. I've tried two and LOVED them both. One is Corinne's
    Classic Patty Melt
    and the other Tina's
    Irish Melt
which I actually like to make as a St. Patty's lunch. :)
I think the patty melts are a good way of using up extra hamburg patties if one has any. I would be okay with the Sriracha but I'm not a huge Thousand Islands dressing fan. Especially on a sandwich. They put that on Reuben's all the time and I just never got it. :)

This is a Patty Melt except for the sour dough bread and special sauce. I would make this with just the meat, caramelized onion and cheese. They are so good!

So I guess a typical patty melt uses rye bread? Patty melts are my boss's favorite sandwich. That's the only thing I know about them. :-)

I do believe rye bread is what is typically used for patty melts..that's all I have ever known:) Do you like rye break FA? If so, I think you would like a patty melt:)
Your picture is wonderful! This is another great sounding recipe from Keni:)
