Twiced Baked Potato Casserole

  • JoeyJoan 10 years ago
I made that recipe for dinner last night. The recipe isn't well written so I had to tweak a little here and there. I don't know how to link the recipe to this thread but it is on this site. I smashed the potatoes with a fork not enough to actually mash them but enough to make the casserole a little creamier in texture and in place of sour cream I used Greek yogurt. Makes my guilty pleasure a little less guilty and a little healthier with out losing any flavor. I took pictures but don't like them so I have a little left that I wouldn't let hubby make for breakfast I will try again this AM to get a better shot. It needs a pretty face cause it is a very good dish.

I think your pic is just perfect! Is this the recipe you used? Prancer's Twiced Baked Potato Casserole
You just need to copy & paste the recipe Joeyjoan..you go to the recipe you made, on the address bar at the very top which shows the recipe link...click on that to highlight, click CTRL C, ..then go to the page where you want to add the recipe, click CTRL V..that should do it..hope it helps! Looks as if this recipe has been made previously and added to IMI..but for the life of me I couldn't find it! Lovebreezy is still working on the "T"'s:-) We'll remember to add it later:-) Also, you can rate this recipe by clicking on the stars on the right side of the recipe...Very nice review!!!

You weren't kidding about the way the recipe is written. I have to assume the potatoes were baked first. Did you leave the skins on?

I wouldn't even have tried that recipe with the way it is written. Kudos for getting a good result! Did you make the whole recipe or cut it in half?
I like your picture, too! Thanks for joining us in IMI.

Happy to join thank you. I peeled them after I baked, I baked them earlier in the afternoon to make getting dinner ready a little easier. Yes that is the recipe by the way and thank you for the tip on how to add a recipe to the conversation. When I ad my picture to the recipe I will rate and review it on the recipe. I am not sure how to rate it. If I rate for my results it is good if I rate for the results I would have gotten following as written well not so good mainly because if I followed the directions half my ingredients would be sitting on the counter unused. I will fall some where in the middle with the rating I am sure.

You are so welcome:-) In my opinion, the way this recipe was written, it doesn't deserve 5 stars..but you rate how you feel it should be rated..you did such a great job with this recipe Joeyjoan! We love seeing you here in IMI:-)

What is the difference between a reply and a comment?

  • Good4U 10 years ago said:
Lets see if I can explain it to you properly. I am not totally certain I am correct on the difference? When I reply from my profile page to someone else I go to the right of their original comment to me and use the reply button. When making a comment on a recipe or on someone's profile page. I open up a box like this one I am using and make a comment in it. I hope that helps:) Maybe someone else can clarify it better?
