HAPPY FRIDAY EVERYONE!
Finally going to make Lori's
Mesquite Grilled Chicken In White Barbeque Sauce
for dinner this evening. May make Tina's
Blasted Cherry Tomatoes
as a side. I've had the recipe bookmarked forever and haven't gotten around to trying it yet.
Am slow to get moving this morning. The heat wave broke so the temps are much more bearable. May do some work out in the flower garden today. Have some new mulch to put down.
How did Liv make out on the trip home Tina?
Ditto on what Karen said re: someone calling for references Laurie. It's a totally great sign.

I am here, Janet. Just lurking a little. Still having IBS issues and it is a literal PIA! I am glad to hear the humidity has lowered. I wish all the rain would stop my flowers have been getting too much rain. A fellow Den works with lives in Kanata and many times this summer you have missed quite a bit of the storms and rain we get b/c of the lake effect we get. I meant to tell you Jim's brother looks SO much like him. No idea what we are having for dinner? It might just be a snap decision. I haven't really felt like eating anything.

Chicken thighs with shake n bake and broccoli with mashed potatoes or baked.
Ran this morning and I did the whole 3 miles without stopping. Very happy with myself. I bought myself a vest with a blinking light because it is dark out now at that time. I also bought myself a second pair of running shoes at tjmax. I paid a lot for my good pair but these are a good name and they wee only $40 so just to have second pair.

Caiden's swim lessons got canceled AGAIN because of rain, so now we don't even get to make it up. He did mini lessons which was just this M-T but somewhere in fine print it says they are only guaranteed 3 of the days. Booooo, I kinda feel ripped off. Oh well. I did get some shopping done though...had to pick up a couple more things up for school and some stuff to take to my Mom's house tomorrow. Michael's parents are in town for the weekend and they are staying at my parent's house. So the kids and I will head over there in the morning to visit and eat! I'm taking shrimp, zukes to grill, and some dips- a hummus and artichoke spinach dip with pita chips. Dinner tonight is deer sausage, leftover potatoes for the kids, and some sort of veg...maybe broccoli? Anyway hope everyone is enjoying the day :)

It's been raining AAALLLLL week. We needed it really bad but it can stop now lol :)

Just finished dinner. Michael is working his first set of nights since he's been back at work, which he was not looking forward too, it takes a lot of time to get back into shift work. But hey the bright side is I have the T.V. all to myself haha :)

Tonight with be Pulled Chicken Tacos With Pineapple Salsa and I will also make the slaw from Fish Tacos With Spicy Cabbage Slaw to have as a side. I am still fascinated by the abundance and variety of fresh fruits and vegetables here and I am finally getting used to the whole gas stove thing. We have been hearing about the heat and dry conditions from Jason's parents as they monitor the fires where they live in Oliver BC in the Okanagan. It is beyond words frightening.
