Fried Snake Recipe

Fried Snake Recipe
This is what me and Trixie had for breakfast this mornin. It might take a while for you to get the hang of it but once you do you'll be hooked! The prep time includes the time it takes to catch the snake so this can vary.

Ingredients
  • a snake (any one will do)
  • salt
  • pepper
  • tabasco
  • lard

Directions
  1. After you catch your snake and kill it however you like. I like to shoot it's head off.
  2. Pull the skin off it starting at where his head used to be
  3. It might take you a while your first time but will be worth it
  4. Cut him up in bite size pieces, me and Trixie like ours about 3 inches long each
  5. Get pot hot over fire pit or if winter time use stove in trailer on high
  6. Add lard
  7. Throw in pieces of snake and stand back so you don't get splattered on
  8. Shake in salt and pepper
  9. Stir snake around a bit till fried on all sides
  10. Remove with fork and put on plates to cool a bit, one for me and one for Trixie
  11. I pour tabasco all over (but not on Trixie)
  12. This is good with a cold Bud to wash it down
  13. Sorry I don't have a camera to take a picture.

I tried this and loved it! But I substituted the lard with Turpentine! (trying to eat healthy) Gave it that woodsy taste on my palette! I also highly recommend serving this with 2003 Miner Rosella's Vineyard Santa Lucia Highlands Pinot Noir
