Latin Inspired Spice Mix

- 1/4 Cup cumin seeds shopping list
- 3 whole black peppercorns shopping list
- 1 Tablespoon coriander seeds shopping list
- 1-1/2 Tablespoon sugar shopping list
- 1-1/2 Tablespoon sea salt shopping list
- 1 Teaspoon garlic powder shopping list
How to make it
- Combine cumin, peppercorn and coriander in heavy medium skillet. Stir over medium heat until fragrant and toasted, about 8 minutes. Cool slightly. Finely grind toasted spices in the blender, add salt, sugar and garlic powder. Transfer to bowl or container.

mmmmm.....mmmmm.... I have a coffee grinder just for my spices, and I have all of this on hand(since it doesn't call for Mexican Oregano! ;)...so am gonna be doin' this,soon. Thank you, Sharebear! :)

I've used this flavor combination in my cooking before, only with brown sugar. I've never bottled it for future use though. What's the shelf life on this?
