For pretzel Crust
- 3 cups finely crushed pretzels shopping list
- 1 cup butter, melted shopping list
- 1/4 cup honey shopping list
For peanut butter caramel Layer
- 1 cup caramel sauce(either purchased or home made) shopping list
- 1 cup peanut butter(I used creamy) shopping list
For salty chocolate Topping
- 12oz quality dark(semi sweet or darker, your preference) chocolate (I wouldn't recommend using chips, they might not melt right) shopping list
- 1T heavy cream shopping list
- kosher salt roughly ground, or flakes(I used flakes :) shopping list
How to make it
- In large glass bowl, combine pretzels, butter and honey and mix well.
- Press into 9X13 pan
- Bake at 375 for 10-12 minutes until edges are starting to brown slightly
- Set aside to cool while preparing other layers.
- In small heavy sauce pan, heat peanut butter and caramel over medium heat, stirring often. Bring to a boil, then reduce heat and cook at just under boiling for a few minutes, stirring constantly, until mixture begins to thicken.
- Pour into crust.
- Let cool for about 15 minutes or so then prepare topping.
- Melt chocolate and cream together in microwave safe bowl, on high, starting for about 40-60 seconds, then stirring VERY well, and continuing to heat 20 seconds or so at a time, stirring for 20 seconds between each cycle, until completely melted and smooth.
- Pour over peanut butter/caramel layer.
- Sprinkle lightly with salt
- Refrigerate or leave out to cool until set.
