How to make it

  • Combine all ingredients except greens, rice and salt and pepper in large slow cooker.
  • Cook on low for about 10-12 hours, until beans are tender.
  • Taste and season, as needed.
  • Add greens a lil at a time, if needed, until all our warmed through and wilted.
  • Serve over cooked wild rice.
  • Have a Safe and Happy New Year, Everyone!!

    I like it. Talk about comfort food!! Makes me feel all warm and content just reading the recipe. Never thought that Basic Enchilada Sauce would get used in so many dishes when I posted it. Have a super New Years. RJ
