These bring back some very fond memories of my childhood I make a garlic mayonease to go on top ...mmmmmmm

Ingredients
- 4 medium green tomatoes, cored and sliced
- 3/4 cup flour
- 1/4 cup corn meal
- 1 1/2 tsp salt
- 1 Tbsp sugar
- 1/2 tsp pepper
- 1 egg
- vegetable oil
Directions
- Make a batter of flour, meal, salt, sugar, pepper and egg. If batter is too thick, add a small amount of milk. Slice tomatoes and dip in batter. In heavy skillet, heat 1/2 inch of oil. Brown on both sides. Drain on paper towels and serve hot.
