How to make it

  • Make a batter of flour, meal, salt, sugar, pepper and egg. If batter is too thick, add a small amount of milk. Slice tomatoes and dip in batter. In heavy skillet, heat 1/2 inch of oil. Brown on both sides. Drain on paper towels and serve hot.
