Angelgal / All my dishes 2 years, 3 months ago
When we became a "blended family", my husband's oldest son didn't like/wouldn't eat anything I fixed...until I figured out as long as I didn't tell him what the ingredients were...according to Janson, "It's the bestest in the WORLD!" ;)

I used to cut liver in strips, flour them & then deep fat fry them & tell my kids they were "beef strips". They LOVED them till they got old enought to noice I wouldn't TOUCH them ! LOL!!!

Last week I fixed one of the many chicken casseroles with stove top dressing spread across the top of all the other ingredients in a casserole dish, from one of the GR foodies. I messed up and mixed everything together, just as you are doing here. It turned out great!
Thanks for the yummy posting.

Looks yummy! Sometimes it is better to try something first that you don't know what all the ingredients are. Then if you like it enough to make it later, then you can find out;) SOmetimes it's just like that.

I have to do this with my husband!! When he asks what's in it, I just hit the highlights, and skim over the veggies!!!

This is so like kids. I remember when mine were little, I roasted a duck one sunday. When I served it, one of them asked what it was and I (thoughtlessly) replied "duck". Wrong thing to say, as the lips began to tremble and sadness gathered over the table like a thunderstorm. Quick on my feet, I added "Just Kidding! It's a very long chicken!" Just as quickly the sadness disappeared and all was well at dinner that afternoon. Both kids ate seconds. Today, that is still a story we share with a laugh!
