How to make it

  • .Preheat oven to 325
  • I skillet, brown ground beef with onion and bell pepper
  • Add add taco seasoning and water and cook 4-5 minutes or until all the water is absorbed
  • In mixing bowl combine sour cream, mayonnaise and 4 ozs. cheddar cheese
  • In mixing bowl combine bisquick and milk to form soft dough
  • Pat dough on to bottom and 1/2 inch up the sides of an 9 x 13 in. greased casserole dish
  • Add meat mixture to top of dough
  • Top that with tomato slices then jalapenos, the sour cream mixture and end with remaining shredded cheese
  • Bake 30-40 minutes or until edges of dough are lightly browned and cheese is good and melted

    I made this for dinner last night and it was delicious! The only change: I used ground turkey instead of ground beef...The fresh tomatoes & jalapenos really make this casserole a keeper...I'll be making this often, thank you Corinne!

    Hi Corinne:) How are things in your part of the world? We are doing good, still kindof smoky from all of the fires here...I'm going to make this tonight for dinner, is cooking spray ok to use to grease the pan? I just don't want the bisquick mixture to stick:)
