Pumpkin Cookies With Chai Icing

- 2 1/2 cups all-purpose flour shopping list
- 1 tsp. baking powder shopping list
- 1 tsp. baking soda shopping list
- 2 tsp. cinnamon shopping list
- 1/2 tsp. nutmeg shopping list
- 1/2 tsp. cloves shopping list
- 1/2 tsp. salt shopping list
- 1/2 cup margarine, softened shopping list
- 1 1/2 cups sugar shopping list
- 1 cup pumpkin pie filling shopping list
- 1 egg shopping list
- 1 tsp. vanilla extract shopping list
- Icing: shopping list
- 3 cups icing sugar shopping list
- 5 tbsp. milk shopping list
- 1 1/2 tbsp. butter shopping list
- 1 tsp. vanilla extract shopping list
- 1 chai tea bag shopping list
How to make it
- Preheat your oven to 350F.
- Combine flour,baking powder,baking soda, spices and salt in a bowl and set aside.
- In a seperate bowl, cream together butter and sugar. Beat in pie filling, egg, and vanilla until creamy, then mix in dry ingredients until well combined.
- Drop tablespoons of batter onto a parchment-lined baking sheet.
- Bake cookies for 15-20 minutes, or until they begin to have just a hint of golden brown around the edges.
- Remove from oven and cool completely before frosting.
- For the icing:
- Melt butter in a saucepan and add milk. Steep the chai tea bag in the liquid for 5 minutes, then discard. Add vanilla to the milk and butter.
- Combine together with the icing sugar and mix until a smooth icing forms.
- Ice cookies once cool. Serve. Mmm,mmm,mmmm.......
