These are a nice change from regular pancakes. They make a great dinner meal when served with bratwurst sausage.

The sauerbraten from my MIL is posted. Gingersnap gravy, it takes three days to make and believe me, I don't make it often. But honey, these are better than my mema's raw potato pancakes, I think. Don't tell her I said so.

My Father would make these for us when we were kids, and i love them to this day, he added some fresh chopped garlic to his recipe.. My Dad is Hungarian and we put garlic just in about everything, inculding authentic Hungarian Paprika...

These sound like potatoe pancakes my mother use to make. she also used mashed potatoes in the pancake batter when she had left overs the night before. they are yummy gets my five.
