This is my standard "go to" recipe when I make biscotti. It doesn't taste strongly of any particular flavor, but it's incredibly easy to adjust and add ingredients to, like chocolate chips, etc..

Ingredients
- 2 cups all-purpose flour
- 2/3 cup sugar
- 1 tsp baking soda
- 1/2 tsp salt
- 1 tsp vanilla extract
- 2 tsp creme de cacao (optional)
- 3 large eggs, beaten
- 1/4 tsp cinnamon
Directions
- In a bowl, mix flour, sugar, soda, cinnamon, and salt
- Add eggs and vanilla, stirring until blended
- Turn dough out onto a floured surface
- Knead 8 - 10 times
- Form dough into a log about 2x16 inches
- Put log on a non-stick baking sheet (or one coated with non-stick spray)
- Bake in a preheated 350 degree oven for 30 minutes
- Remove and cool for 10 minutes
- Place the loaf on a cutting board and with a serrated knife cut 1/2 inch wide slices on the diagonal
- Place slices on their sides on the baking sheet
- Reduce oven to 325 degrees
- Bake biscotti for 10 more minutes
- Flip all slices and bake for another 10 to 12 minutes.
- Remove from oven and place on a rack to cool.

I think the creme de cacao would go perfect with the white chocolate chips and macadamia nuts that I love in my biscotti...thanks!

Thanks for this simple recipe! I made them today and am very pleased with the results. I found that once I added some chocolate/caramel chips, I had to add a few tablespoons of flour, as the chips somehow made the dough very sticky. But after that it was smooth sailing! Thanks!
