Ingredients

1 lb. ground beef, ground turkey, or ground venison

1 egg beaten

1/2 cup CREAM OF WHEAT Cereal (1-minute, 2-1/2-minute or

10-minute cook time), uncooked

1/4 cup ketchup, divided

1/4 cup finely chopped onion

3/4 tsp. salt

Directions

PREHEAT oven to 350°F

Mix meat, egg, cereal, 2 Tbsp. of the

ketchup, onion, 2 Tbsp. water and salt in large bowl.

Shape into loaf in greased shallow baking dish.

BAKE 35 minutes. Spread remaining 2 Tbsp. ketchup over

meatloaf

Bake an additional 15 minutes or until cooked through

This looks quite interesting. I'm always looking for new things to put in meatloaf. My dad used to use oatmeal a lot. {he made THE best meatloaf, it was never the same twice-I make mine just like that now too} I never would have thought of Cream of Wheat. I will definately try this. I think my dad would have loved this idea! Thanks for sharing.

What a great idea. I never would have thought about using cream of wheat. My parents always put oatmeal in anything they made with ground beef to make it go further and I bet the cream of wheat would work and taste just perfect.
