For a laugh. first time i ever cooked shrimp creole from memory - had eaten it in the south while on vacation - had never cooked shrimp before - always had them cooked for me :-). the sauce was great - really perfect. then i added the shrimp. hm. checked after 15 minutes. shrimp still 'were not done - too hard'. cooked them some more. still to hard. well, served them with terrific rice and black beans. the friends said: oh, this is delicious - but didn't you cook the shrimp too long? laughs all around when i explained.THEN I KNEW AND NEVER FORGOT - DO NOT BOIL SHRIMP TO DEATH :-). (and, at times, it does not hurt to read a recipe instead of cooking according to the memory of my taste buds.)
Thank you for your posting!

Thats all right Kocheaux.
First time I made a Roasted chicken I left all the giblets, Neck, Liver in side.
We all have to make mistakes ro learn the correct way to do things
shrimp have to really be watched. I stay over the pot and when they turn almost dark pink they are usually done.. Take one out and try it,that always works
Sometime I taste so much I am not hungry at meal time
After the last few days I don't think I want to cook ever again. Geeash!!!!!! 18 people and just me and my daughter to do anything
If I never see another present or hear a Carrol it will be too soon.
Thanks for the comments
