This one says it all in the title. Makes a magic hard shell when it hits the cold ice cream.

I just have to tell you what else you can do with this. Drain a jar of marachino cherries (with stems) and soak the cherries in a bit of brandy (or whatever your preference might be) for an hour or so. Drain (you can save the brandy) and freeze the cherries until firm. Coat them with the "Magic Shell" and return to the freezer. Take them out 10 or 15 mintues before serving and you have an adult version of a "Chocolate Covered Cherry".

Thanks Henrie,
They do still sell magic shell, but I like to make my own stuff, then you know what's in it.

I wish I'd had this recipe back when my kids were 8 or 10 or so! I could have save a LOT of money. They loved the stuff that formed the shell on ice cream. Thanks for posting, I can try it on my grandchildren!

Oh, Henrie - I just found this. We love this stuff. With so many different cooking type chips, wonder if you couldn't do this with them also. Thanks so much!

Thanks so much for this recipe! I will definately be making this often, my kids and husband love this stuff. In the store bought kind, you get a tiny bottle for a lot of money. Also, just to let you know, I have lots of your recipes printed and in my recipe box. I definately look up to you! I have tried lots of your recipes and me and my whole family loved them. Keep up the good work and thanks again for sharing so much!
