    Well I made a double batch of this, from dried lentils, today and we are loooving it! I ended up adding a bay leaf, basil and some spinach I needed to use up. Mmmmmmm, thanks for this recipe.

    I love the simplicity of this recipe! I'm presuming the lentils were soaked for a while first or they were canned? I don't have a lot of experience with lentils but want to keep them as a regular on our home menu. This recipe is a keeper. The only changes I would make would be to omit the sugar since I have health issues with it. Maybe add some brown rice sometimes just to change it up. I'm making it today.

    I love that this recipe is simple with a minimal amount of ingredients. Since soup is one of my favorites I can not wait to try it. Let you know how it went.

    This sounds yummy and unusual. Never heard of cabbage in lentil soup, but I will surely try it, since I love both!

    Hi chef! The only thing I do differently is another 1/2 cup of lentils and when the dish is cooked I remove some of the soup and blend it in a blender..makes soup a little thicker.And as an Italian I must tell you that lentils on New Year bring luck.Your recipe is perfect tho.
