Best Bacon Cheeseburgers Ever

- 1 lb bacon, fried and crumbled shopping list
- 2 cups shredded havaarti cheese shopping list
- 2 cups shredded swiss cheese (or any cheeses that melt well) shopping list
- 3 lbs. ground sirloin, 85 % lean shopping list
- 1 envelope beefy oinion soup mix shopping list
- 2 T. chopped garlic shopping list
- 4 T. worcestershire sauce shopping list
- 2 T. Heinz 57 Sauce shopping list
- fresh ground black pepper shopping list
- 1/4 c. grated parmesan cheese shopping list
- 2 eggs shopping list
- 1 loaf of french or Italian bread, sliced thick, on the bias into 16 slices shopping list
- melted butter shopping list
- avacado slices shopping list
- thick, ripe red tomato slices shopping list
- red onion slices shopping list
- green leaf or romaine lettuce shopping list
- herbed Mayo (Real Mayo, garlic, chives & dill) shopping list
How to make it
- The night before, or the morning of meal combine herbs & mayo, cover and chill
- Fry bacon and crumble
- Mix with cheese
- Mold 8 patties, squeezing together to make them hold
- Wrap each in plastic wrap and place in the freezer
- 1 hour before cooking combine remaining ingredients from meat to eggs by hand in large mixing bowl.
- Form into 8 large patties
- Place one cheese/bacon patty on top of each meat patty
- Work meat around the cheese patty until it is submerged in the center of the meat, and completely covered
- Allow patties to come to room temperature
- Place on lightly oiled grill rack
- Turn only once, halfway through cooking
- Cook to internal temperature of 160
- Lightly brush melted butter on bread and grill
- Serve burgers with herbed mayo, avacado, tomato, onion, and lettuce
- Good kosher deli pickles and oven roasted red potatoes make great accompaniments.
