Ingredients

1 lb. lean ground beef

1 1/2 cups water

1 pkg Taco seasoning mix

1 cup Tex Mex shredded cheese (Kraft)

1 1/2 cups minute rice

2 cups shredded lettuce

2 cups chopped tomatoes

Tortilla chips

Sour cream

Directions

Brown ground beef in a large non-stick skillet

Add water and seasoning mix and stir

Bring to a boil

Stir in rice

Sprinkle with cheese, cover and reduce heat to low

Simmer 5 minutes

Top with lettuce and tomatoes

Serve with Tortilla chips and sour cream

Great recipe This is like a homemade "Hamburger Helper" recipe. If you pour your meat and cheese mixture over your chips, you'll have some great Nachos. Happy New Year!
