How to make it

  • Combine flour, beer, paprika, cayenne pepper, black pepper, salt, garlic salt and Tabasco.
  • Dip the pickle slices into the batter and quickly fry in vegetable oil until the pickles float to top, about 4 minutes.

    Aunty, they are pretty spicy...we like a little hot around here!;-) I don't see why you couldn't reduce (or even leave out) some of the spices, though. The garlic itself gives then a nice flavor.

    These sound extremely hot with all the cayenne , black pepper & tabasco & paprika , I have never heard of them at all ,but I do make my own AWESOME DILLS fresh from the garden ,may try these but will revamp the recipe or find one that I like .
    Its always good to try some thing a little different though,lol.

    LOVE ME SOME FRIED DILL PICKLES !!! There's a place I used to go to called Cock of the Walk in Monroe,La and they had the BEST fried pickles you ever tasted !! Mouth watering !! Thanks for the post !

    Oh yes, Gem - fried peanut butter and 'nanner sandwiches are big here! I can't say that I'm very fond of them, but most folks are! ;-)
