I got this recipe from a friend who serves them at parties and is always asked for the recipe. I'm not big on sardines so I had to be sold on this, but to my surprise it is an incredibly tasting delight. Hope you will give it a try.

Ingredients
  • 1/2 cup mashed sardines
  • 1 tablespoon minced pimento
  • 3 tablespoons chopped olives
  • 1-1/2 tablespoons mayonnaise
  • 1/2 tablespoon lemon juice
  • 12 squares toasted bread
  • 1 cup sliced stuffed olives

Directions
  1. Add lemon juice to mayonnaise.
  2. Mix with mashed sardines, pimento and chopped olives.
  3. Spread on toasted bread.
  4. Garnish each square with a slice of stuffed olive.
