How to make it

  • Cream together the butter, sugar, vanilla and cocoa.
  • Lightly beat the eggs and add to sugar mixture.
  • Add flour.
  • Blend in the nuts.
  • Pour the batter into an ungreased 8 X 8 inch pan. Place this pan inside another larger pan, the bottom which is covered with water.
  • As it bakes, the top will form a crust, but the inside will remain pudding-like.
  • Bake in pre-heated 325 oven for 45 minutes.
  • Spoon into bowls and serve hot with a scoop of vanilla ice-cream on top.

    The cobbler turned out wonderful and was delicious just don't do what i did and pour the batter into the pan before realizing you didn't add the flour because it doesn't say to do so in the directions.
