Hi. I am new here and found this site during my search for Oatmeal Soup. My mom made this soup for us when we were younger. A few of my siblings thought the soup was gross but I liked it with a few exceptions. Recently, my brother ask if I could still make it and of course I made it and sent him the ingredients and instructions. I never thought this soup was so worldly. I have found Scotish, equadorian, Mexican, Irish recipe variations just to name a few.

How neat! :) This would be a great addition to the Big Damn Chefs Rise Again cookbook. Have you by chance ever seen the tv show "Firefly" or the movie "Serenity"?
