Ingredients
  • 1 lb minimum thin sliced bacon.
  • Cracked wheat toast (preferred as healthy and just tastes good)
  • Cutting bottom of the tomato off makes it easier to hold and slice.
  • Tomatoes (thin slices is the secret)
  • Lettuce
  • Best Foods Mayo (Hellmans East of the Mississippi)
  • Two sheets paper towel per sandwich (Costco brand)

Directions
  1. I like to microwave the bacon. Gets rid of the grease and salt.
  2. Cut the pound of bacon in half. Cook all the half slices.
  3. When bacon is done, make the toast.
  4. Have mayo ready, and spread edge to edge the minute toast pops up.
  5. Lay single layer lettuce on both sides of toast.
  6. Lay tomatoes out in a layer, salt and pepper top side.
  7. Place salt and peppered side on toast.
  8. Again lightly pepper tomato.
  9. Add 6-8 half pieces of bacon.
  10. Add second layer tomato.
  11. Lightly pepper second side of tomato.
  12. Second layer of 6-8 pieces of bacon.
  13. Flop other side of toast, lettuce, and tomato on top of bacon.
  14. Fold paper towel around the sandwich.
  15. Dive in, oh man this good stuff!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I love the pictures and now I'm craving a blt. Remember that silly dog running around singing bacon bacon bacon....that would be me NOW. Have a good one. Nice post.

The most AWESOME pictures ever! Looks delicious. We just had something very similar last night for supper.

Fabulous picture. You're right. It's gotta be Best Foods for mayonnaise. :)

Sounds yummy - BLT's are one of my favorites! Has to be Kraft real mayo though... ; )

Actually it can be Kraft of Best Foods, or Hellmans. Best Foods and Hellmans are from the same producer, it is called Best Foods West of the Mississippi and Hellmans East. Kraft is right at the top, all three are just plain good. Thanks for your comment and hope you enjoy your next BLT. Remember thin, thin sliced tomatoes and copious amounts of bacon.

I love the pictures too... had my mouth watering for one of these.... In the summertime... our tomatoes are so good.... everyone makes these for the first 2 weeks of the season.... they just cant seem to get enough of them......Good post.....

Ha ya'll our tomatoes are not in yet! While your all freezing up there.. I will be sinking my teeth into these puppys! JJ this is one Kick butt recipe! In 2 weeks we start getting the good tomatoes! Be thinking of ya'll!
