How to make it

  • Preheat the oven to 350
  • Line a flat baking sheet with parchment paper
  • In a large bowl add ground beef, and next 8 ingredients (through Italian seasoning)
  • Mix thoroughly and shape into 1-inch balls
  • Push cheese into the middle of the ball and re-shape
  • Place on lined baking sheet and bake until browned, 15-20 minutes
  • In a slow cooker, add tomato sauce, tomatoes, Italian seasoning, onion, and garlic
  • Keep hot while meatballs cook
  • Add balls to sauce cook for 10 minutes
  • Serve with toothpicks

    Does the panko change the consistency of the meatball and can regular breadcrumbs or cracker crumbs be subbed. These sound great.
