Battered Fried Pork Chop Recipe

Battered Fried Pork Chop Recipe
I used to use nutmeg on the pork chops, but my hubby hates nutmeg, so I had to change the recipe.

Ingredients
  • 4-6 med. Pork Chops
  • 1 cup of Flour
  • 1 tablespoon Salt
  • 1 tablespoon Pepper
  • 1 tablespoon Sage or Poultry Seasoning - sounds like a lot, but it's mixed with the flour, so it doesn't all go on the chops.
  • 3 Eggs
  • 3 tablespoons Milk- I like to use evaporated, it gives a richer, creamyier flavor
  • 2 tablespoons Vegetable Oil - enough to coat bottom of pan pretty good.

Directions
  1. Rinse Pork Chops. Mix Flour, salt, pepper and sage in a pie pan, Mix Eggs and Milk in another pie pan. Start heating Vegetable Oil on medium heat in an iron skillet - you don't have to use an iron skillet, but EVERYTHING tastes better cooked in an iron skillet. Coat Pork Chops in flour mixture, then in egg mixture, then back in flour mixture and place them in the skillet. If you cook on medium heat, the Chops will cook all the way through without burning.

Where's the recipe?

Yummo! I'm going to use your recipe on pork short ribs as I've had this dish in a Chinese restaurant and they served the battered ribs with a bbq dipping sauce. Thanks for your recipe!
