Turnip gratin with the stinky cheese

- 4 medium white turnips, sliced paper thin shopping list
- 1 yellow onion, sliced thin shopping list
- 4 tablespoons of butter, melted shopping list
- 1/2 cup of heavy cream shopping list
- 4 anchovy fillets, chopped fine shopping list
- 1/4 teaspoon of freshly grated nutmeg shopping list
- 1/4 teaspoon of pepper shopping list
- 1/2 cup of crumbled Roquefort or other blue cheese shopping list
How to make it
- Preheat the oven to 375 degrees. Toss together the turnips and onion wiht the melted butter in a 9 inch round baking dish.
- cover with foil and bake for 30 minutes.
- Heat the cream, anchovies, nutmeg and pepper to a low boil.
- Cook for one minute.
- Remove the turnips and onions from the oven and take off the foil.
- Pour the sauce over, toss well, and sprinkle the blue cheese over the
- dish.
- Return the turnips to the hour, uncovered, for one hour.
- If the top isn't golden brown, run under the broiler until it is a lovely golden toasty color.

Made this with the Normandy Pork Chops tonight. Hubby said "they actually managed to make a turnip taste good." It was really good. i will definitely make again!
